Our story

An Italian restaurant in Gumi, now in its 24th year

It began out of a love for pasta and other Italian dishes. Today the owner’s son has taken over the kitchen, carrying the restaurant into its second generation.

The name carries the wish to “make honest food”: the son’s name, Baek-u (백우), joined with 正 (jeong), the character for “correct” or “upright” — Baekujeong.

From the modern, refined look inside and out to the tableware made by an intangible-heritage master artisan, the owner’s years of thought and care show throughout the space.
